Can you sit down after getting butt implants?

This is a common question among people who are considering butt augmentation. And you might have many more questions in regards to the process, so we’re here to help you figure that out.

So how do butt implants work?

Implant-based butt augmentation involves placing solid silicone implants in the buttocks to enhance their volume and shape. Within the gluteus muscle, implants are inserted through a small, inconspicuous incision just below the tailbone. In addition to looking and feeling fuller and rounder, this technique also results in more toned and firm results. In addition, since the implants are embedded in the muscle, they will not droop or flip.

Does butt augmentation surgery hurt?

Patients usually report some discomfort after buttock fat grafting, but pain medications can be taken to manage this. Patients typically return home the same day after the procedure after being monitored for a few hours. It will be necessary for you to wear a support garment 24 hours a day until your surgeon instructs you otherwise.

You will receive detailed instructions from your plastic surgeon about how to care for your incisions and recover from them. In some cases, you may need to:

  • You should avoid putting direct pressure on your buttocks.
  • Do not shower for 48 hours.
  • It is important to wear compression garments.

How long does recovery take after butt implant surgery?

If you undergo butt implant surgery, you may be advised not to sleep on your back or sit for two to three weeks—other than for eating and using the toilet—for the first two to three weeks.

During the first eight weeks, you will need a pillow beneath your hamstrings. You may experience some bruising and swelling after the procedure, but it should subside after two weeks.

Following a Brazilian Butt Lift, patients should avoid putting pressure directly on their butts for several weeks. They can resume normal activities after two weeks. There will be a gradual decrease in swelling over the next few months.

Once I have had butt augmentation surgery, am I able to sleep on my back?

After your augmentation, you should avoid sleeping, sitting, or resting directly on your buttocks for at least two weeks. Sleeping on your side or stomach is always a recommended. It is also essential that you do not place direct pressure on your buttock while sitting. There is only one exception: using the toilet.

So the short answer is that you should avoid putting pressure on your butt as much as possible.

However, butt implants have a longer recovery period and a higher complication rate than Brazilian butt lift surgery due to the fact that they create a firmer, rounder shape. However, butt implants may be a good option for people with an otherwise lean frame who lack the fat for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL). If you are interested in a procedure that fits your anatomy and goals, talk to your plastic surgeon.
