Arm Lift Surgery

Arm lift surgery may be a suitable procedure for those who wish to have leaner, more shapely arms but can’t seem to get the results they desire with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Arms can be on display quite a lot, and it’s only when you become conscious of them how much you realize this happens. For example, when wearing sleeveless clothing, tight clothing, and when on the beach. Those who do not like their arms will do almost anything to make sure they keep them hidden, but this can significantly lower enjoyment and the quality of life.

Arm lift surgery could be the ideal solution if you have stubborn fat pockets on your arms, loose skin, or both.

What is An Arm Lift?

An arm lift, also called brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure that helps to remove loose skin and excess fat in the upper arms. This helps to create a more sculpted, contoured arm that you are proud to show off.

You can be unhappy with your arms for a number of reasons; perhaps you gained and lost weight and your arms simply haven’t been the same, or maybe the change in your arm has been caused by ageing. Whatever the case, Vida Wellness and Beauty can help to find the best solution.

Liposuction and skin excision techniques are used in an arm lift to give the arm a much tighter, smoother appearance. The benefits include:

  • Firmer arms.
  • Tightened skin and elasticity.
  • Sculpted, more shapely arms.
  • Confidence to wear swimwear, sleeveless clothing, and tighter clothing.
  • An improved sense of well being.

How Much Does Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty) Cost?

In Mexico, you can expect to pay between $3900 and $4500. This is because several factors need to be paid for including your surgeon fee, medical tests, medication, post-surgery support, hospital fees and fees for anaesthesia. Of course, if you plan on combining your Arm Lift Surgery with another procedure, it will be significantly higher.

The good news is that you can save a significant amount on the cost of Brachioplasty compared to what it would be in the US. You can do this by opting to use our clean, reliable and professional facilities in Tijuana, complete with board-certified plastic surgeons.

By heading to the medical tourism center that is Tijuana, we can offer top-quality hospital care, and access to our comfortable recovery suite. All in the first AAAASF-accredited surgical facility in Mexico, and for less than you would pay in the US. See our pricing table here

Things To Remember

Of course, if you’re going to make a speedy recovery then you will need to ensure you do the following after surgery:

  • Avoid the gym for 6 weeks.
  • Take 1-2 weeks off work.
  • Plan at least 2 hours for surgery and ensure you have somebody with you when your hospital stay is over (you will stay in for 1 day).
  • Wear compression garments or bandages.
  • No sexual activity for 4-6 weeks.
  • Shower after 1 week.
  • No driving for 2 weeks.
  • Sleep elevated on your back for 1-2 weeks.

If you follow our advice then you will make a full recovery in around 6-8 weeks.

How Does This Procedure Work?

Liposuction and skin excision techniques are used to create the desired results on the arms. The liposuction is used to target the excess fat in the area, and incisions will be made at the elbow and in the back of the armpit. The fat will then be carefully removed. Other areas of fat that can be treated at the same time include:

  • Forearms.
  • Back of the elbow.
  • Breast.
  • Armpit.
  • Back.
  • Shoulder.

The skin will be removed in an ellipse shape at the back of the elbow, and will curve into the armpit. Our surgeons ensure that the scar will be as subtle as possible. Along with liposuction, excision is usually required to get rid of excess skin. Liposuction will only usually be used alone in patients where there’s lots of elasticity, and skin excision is often used in patients who have less elasticity and may have lost a significant amount of weight already.

Aesthetic Considerations

No two people are the same, and in many cases, both arms won’t be the same. This means that the surgeon you work with has some careful aesthetic considerations to make before going ahead with the procedure. Careful planning is so important for patients who may not have equal amounts of fat and skin to remove.

Your surgeon will minimize scarring and ensure they are placed in locations that are virtually invisible. Scars can take months to settle, but a skilled surgeon will usually try to keep them close to the armpit to ensure they are undetectable. This may not always be possible, however, especially for those with excessive skin or fat. Everything will be discussed with you in detail beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.

Are You The Right Candidate For An Arm Lift?

This is a personal procedure that you should only decide to go ahead with if you feel that you would significantly benefit. Suitable candidates include:

  • Those already at their ideal body weight.
  • Those in good physical and psychological health.
  • Those with a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
  • Those seeking to remove cellulite, excess fat, and skin on the arms.
  • Those who would like to improve the shape and contour of the arms.
